International Volunteer Sponsorship Program

Empowering Mutual Growth Through Language, Service, and Cross-Cultural Friendship

Are you passionate about service, interested in the United States, and seeking meaningful international experience that can change your life trajectory?

Amicitia Reciproca is a nonprofit organization based in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a mission to empower independence for people with disabilities while offering life-changing opportunities for international volunteers. We are now recruiting candidates for our 2026 International Volunteer Sponsorship Program, with a trial phase beginning in Summer 2026.

Overview

This is not a job, internship, or tourist program. It’s a transformative exchange grounded in mutual benefit. You’ll support an individual with a disability through daily routines, companionship, and community life—while receiving full support to live, study, and grow in the U.S.

Key Highlights:

  • Summer Tryout (May–August 2026): A 3-month cultural exchange as a volunteer on a B-1 visa.

  • Sponsored Academic Year (Fall 2026–Spring 2027): If the summer goes well, you may be invited to return with full sponsorship to attend the Intensive English Program (IEP) at Colorado State University on an F-1 student visa.

  • No tuition, housing, or food costs. We provide full financial and in-kind support.

What You’ll Do

Summer 2026 (Trial Period)

  • Live with a host (an individual with a disability who will benefit from your support)

  • Assist with daily routines, outings, meals, and shared activities

  • Participate in cultural and wellness activities in the Fort Collins community

  • Not wages, but lodging and meals are provided

Fall 2026–Spring 2027 (Sponsored Year)

  • Enroll full-time in CSU’s IEP to improve English skills

  • Volunteer 15–20 hours/week in a structured service role

  • Receive:

    • Tuition and fees are fully paid

    • Books, insurance, and supplies

    • Private room, meals, essentials

    • Monthly personal allowance (~$500)

    • Travel, visa, and wellness support
